What was your first job?

Right after graduating from IPB University, I started my professional career at Alltech, a US-based multinational feed additive company. I joined as a Sales Assistant, where my primary responsibility was to support the managers across different species sectors, including poultry, aquaculture, and ruminants. I was very fortunate to have such a supportive environment for my first job. It provided me with a strong foundation, as the team taught me a great deal about the sales process and the technical skills required to understand the mode of action for various product lines.

Tell us a bit about your career to date and how you got into recruitment.

Following my time at Alltech, I worked at a local distributor company that specialized in ruminant health and nutrition products, where I served as the Technical & Marketing Manager. However, shortly after joining, I became pregnant with my first child. Due to the high frequency of business travel required for the role, I decided to resign to focus on my pregnancy and the birth of my baby. I then dedicated myself to raising my child for about two years until I was offered an opportunity to join an executive search firm that specialized in the animal health and nutrition industry. To be honest, I was initially hesitant because my background was not in Human Resources or recruitment. However, after diving in and receiving tremendous support from my experienced recruiter colleagues, I discovered that I thoroughly enjoyed the work. Recruitment allowed me to leverage my technical expertise when engaging with clients and candidates, which significantly streamlined my candidate screening process. Until now, I am incredibly grateful to be working in recruitment under a remote system, as it provides me with the flexibility to successfully manage both my career and my personal life as a mother and a wife.

If you had to pick a job in the food or agriculture industry, what would it be? And why?

Initially, I aspired to be a veterinarian specializing in nutrition, as becoming a vet had been my childhood dream. However, because my parents did not approve of that path, I ultimately pursued a degree in Animal Nutrition and Feed Technology. As it turned out, I thoroughly enjoyed the nutrition coursework within the animal science program. This experience sparked an interest, and I began to realize it would be even more exciting to specialize in pet nutrition, specifically focusing on companion animals like cats and dogs.

What are your interests outside of work?

Lately, I have been enjoying thriller movies and exploring new local cafes and restaurants with my family.

Tell us something not many people know about you?

I have always loved exploring nature and wildlife, but since having kids, it is become a bit more challenging to take them trekking or out into the wilderness. Once they are a bit older, though, I am really looking forward to exploring the beautiful Indonesian nature together as a family.

What is your favorite food?

I love spice-rich Indonesian food, especially dishes from the West Sumatra region.

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?

I am currently trying to get into a consistent workout routine, specifically aerobics and workouts. Since my second child has started elementary school and is getting more independent, I should finally be able to squeeze in a morning workout before heading to work. Wish me luck! haha.

If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?

I wish I had the power of teleportation, so I could instantly take my family to explore the beautiful nature all across Indonesia.

What country, apart from your home country, would you like to live in?

I have actually always wanted to live in Brunei Darussalam. Even though I haven't visited yet, I have a friend there who often tells me how peaceful the country is and how well it takes care of its citizens.

What is the coolest role you've placed?

The most unforgettable position I have handled has to be a GM role for a shrimp hatchery located on one of Indonesia’s remote islands. Finding candidates was a real challenge because the location is so isolated. It literally have to take a plane, a large ship, and then a small boat just to reach the island.

What is your all time favorite movie?

The Korean thriller movie 'Parasite' is incredibly intense and features a plot twist that is absolutely unpredictable.

What are some of your goals (work or personal) for 2026?

For 2026, my professional goal is to learn more about the food industry, while my personal goal is to live healthier by exercising regularly and reducing my sugar intake.

Your life mantra is / Your philosophy on life is / The words you live by are…

God’s timing and plans are beautiful. It is all about constantly learning to embrace the path He has laid out for us.

Name three things right now you are grateful for.

Family, working place, and friendship.

One job I’m recruiting for RIGHT NOW is:

Sales Manager for Food Ingredients manufacturer in Indonesia.
