​We are working with a large meat processor in Kenya, who are looking to recruit a high impact operations consultant initially for a 12 month fixed-term contract, with potential to extend, which will focus on improving yield, shelf life, food safety, and operational efficiency within their processed meats operations in Kenya, ultimately contributing to improving the P&L.

The assignment will bring UK/European best practice into the business, strengthens export capability, and supports critical knowledge transfer and best practice following the retirement of long standing senior leadership. Designed as a defined engagement (12 month FTC, with potential to extend), the role will offer strategic influence without day to day operational management.

The role will senior meat processing professionals moving into consulting/advisory or late career roles, and the package will provide housing, transport and return flights along with a salary to suit the incumbent and annual bonus.

Key Focus Areas:

• Yield and shelf life improvement within processed meats

• Benchmarking and embedding global best practice (UK/Europe)

• Strengthening export scale

• Productivity, cost, and operational efficiency improvements

• Food safety and quality enhancement

• Support for expansion, scale up, and capital projects

Role Scope

• Strategic, advisory, and mentoring role

• Work closely with two factory managers across Production, Engineering, and Quality

• Lead operational diagnostics, challenge existing ways of working, and stress test operations

• Initially advisory with no direct reports; potential future leadership scope

• Reporting to the CEO and CFO

Qualifications:

• Highly experienced meat operations professional (processed meats essential)

• Strong UK/European operational background

• Proven track record in yield, shelf life, and large scale manufacturing improvement

• Well suited to senior professionals moving into consulting/advisory or late career roles

• Pragmatic, influential, and outcomes driven
