Our client is an ambitious early-stage start-up focused on revolutionizing agriculture by developing sustainable, cost-effective biological alternatives to synthetic nitrogen fertilizers, with a strong commitment to environmental impact and global food security, based out from the UK.
Our client is seeking a strategic and well-connected professional to serve as a Country Representative in Thailand. This is a unique opportunity to drive stakeholder engagement and lead market research efforts within the rice and fertiliser value chains, supporting future market entry strategy in the region.
The role can be structured flexibly—as a part-time or consultancy engagement, home-based depending on the candidate’s availability, with the potential to evolve into a permanent Country Manager position based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities:
Conduct market research and analysis of fertiliser trends, competition, and farmer needs.
Identify and evaluate potential local sales and distribution partners.
Develop and lead relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, cooperatives, and private sector actors.
Support the regulatory certification process in collaboration with internal teams.
Contribute to strategy development and implementation planning for market entry.
Qualifications:
At least 10 years of overall professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years working within the agro-inputs value chain (e.g., fertilizers, seeds, crop protection) or with NGOs supporting smallholder farmers.
Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial thinking.
Proven ability to work independently and take initiative.
Well-established networks within Vietnam’s agriculture and agribusiness sector.
Fluency in Vietnamese and business-level proficiency in English.
