The Food Quality Technologist will be based in Thailand, but with a regional scope for South East Asia, and will work with the procurement team to oversee supplier audits, ensuring they adhere to our clients’ food safety and quality standards for export to retailers in Europe.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate the supplier's food safety and quality system in the supplier selection process and update the supplier's food safety and quality system database.
Participate in supplier audits, collect and prepare the final supplier audit checklists and the summarized audit reports.
Follow up and review the suppliers' corrective action plan from purchasing team and follow up evidences from purchasing team and /or suppliers.
Coordinate and manage quality aspects supplier selection to on-site quality assessments.
Arranging pre-shipment goods inspections and tests with selected external service providers. Providing support to 3rd parties during operations as needed.
Maintaining day-to-day supplier and service provider relationship and efficient communication flow during order processing by discussing and tackling issues as necessary.
Defining product specifications and quality assurance measures (e.g. pre-shipment inspections checklists, testing protocols).
Supporting Merchandise Department in all quality-related topics, including suppliers’ assessments, production supervision and complaint management.
Supporting the Division Manager Quality with the food relevant projects.
Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or related field.
Experience in Quality systems, QA/QC or related fields.
Good command of English and Computer skills
Good knowledge in quality systems such as BRC, GMP, HACCP, Halal, etc.
Able to travel to suppliers for audits.
What Our Client Offers:
Basic Salary: 60,000 - 80,000 THB/Month (Depending on candidate experience)
