The Project Engineer / Manager will be responsible the for execution of project plans from project conception to commissioning for all our clients agricultural chemical sites in the APAC Region. This position will involve extensive travel to support and develop site teams as well as working hands on to drive best practice implementation.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for completion of projects within specified time frames and budget.
Responsible for successful project delivery which includes full implementation from initiation to start-up for one major or several minor/medium projects simultaneously.
Manage a single or portfolio of projects that span one or multiple lines of business to ensure overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives.
Shaping of the project scope through translation of business & user needs into options, managing trade-offs and selection of best fit option to meet competing objectives.
Maintain good working relationships with contractors, suppliers, our clients’ management and investors, and other stakeholders (including government agencies).
Develop and execute a communication strategy for all project stakeholders & senior leaders, to disseminate progress/other information, and also timely escalation of relevant items for effective resolutions & decisions.
Ensure contractors adhere to contractual obligations and that all activities comply with our clients’ policies and relevant laws, including occupational health and safety.
Identify the needed resources, secure resources, build and lead a project team, and manage their performance through the project's life.
Act as an internal quality control check, define success criteria, KPIs, and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the life cycle.
Qualifications:
Degree in engineering, or a closely related field with Project Management Certification is a plus.
Experience leading medium to major projects in the role of project manager covering complete project life cycle.
Experience in a chemical related field.
Sound commercial sense and the ability to work confidently with senior management and directors.
Strong leadership/decision-making skills, tactful, flexible with a proactive and positive attitude.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
