A newly created role within Thailand, and a key strategic position, the Sales Manager will lead our clients’ growing aquaculture business within Thailand, providing strong commercial focus, strategic direction and technical support for all channels covering large feed mills, distributors and direct to farm. We are targeting an experienced business developer within the aquaculture market in Thailand, who possesses with the capabilities, experience and aspirations to lead the division. Organization / reporting is structure is open, and depending on experience level.
Responsibilities:
Identify and explore potential business opportunities and develop business relationships with potential customers within aqua feed mills, distributors and aqua farms in Thailand.
Focus will be on all species within Thailand.
Educate and train internal staff and customers on our clients’ aqua technology portfolio, industry trends, and management practices.
Manage and coordinate resources to ensure commercial, technical and logistical support provided to customers is effective and appropriate.
Visit different categories of key accounts’ decision makers on a regular basis, understand their real business needs and expectations, and develop ideas, services and solutions to improve customer satisfaction and enhance strategic partnership.
Collect, consolidate and analyze market data (market trend, customers’ need, competitors’ market activities etc.) to explore and identify potential business opportunities
Understand competitor pricing and marketing movements in the market and design appropriate responses/strategies.
Collaborate with marketing and technical support within the region to enhance customer experience.
Involvement in seminars, workshops and educational trips to provide knowledge and skills to the customers.
Qualifications:
Degree qualified in an Aquacultural Sciences related field.
Experience in a sales, technical sales or key account role focusing on the aquaculture sector in Thailand. Proven track record selling into aqua feed mills, farms or via distributors is essential.
Strong knowledge and contacts within the aquaculture industry and initiative, able to work independently and result-oriented.
Excellent organizational skills and capable of demonstrating initiative and working independently with occasional direction.
Strong written and oral English communication.
