We are looking to recruit a Food Technologist for our clients' food manufacturing business in Fraserburgh. As a Food Technologist, you’ll play a key role in supporting the development of new products and refining existing ones. You’ll gain hands-on experience in recipe creation, quality control testing, sensory evaluation, and shelf-life analysis. Your work will directly impact product innovation, customer satisfaction, and our clients commitment to excellence. Reporting to the Group New Product Development Manager. This is a full time, on-site role - Monday to Friday - in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire.
Assisting in recipe development and accurate specification recording
Conducting quality control tests (e.g., pH, salt content, heat penetration)
Supporting sensory evaluations and taste panels
Preparing samples for internal and external stakeholders
Collaborating on product presentations and photography
Promoting products through educational and health-focused initiatives
Ensuring compliance with hygiene, HACCP, and health & safety standards
Communicating effectively across departments and with visitors
Qualifications:
A recent graduate with a relevant degree (e.g., Food Science, Nutrition, or similar
Enthusiasm for food innovation and product development
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to travel between sites when required.
Long term right to work in the UK
