Purchasing Manager – Food Industry

Our client is a food ingredients manufacturer.

Nakorn Ratchasima, Thailand

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for managing supplier relationships and coordinates timely delivery of raw materials for the production.

Responsibilities:

Sourcing new suppliers and negotiate with existing suppliers.
Supplier selection process based on price, quality, support, capacity and reliability
Responsible for selecting and approval of local and overseas suppliers who meets quality standards
Evaluates, analyses and negotiates with suppliers to achieve most competitive prices.
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
Develop and manage purchasing budgets and forecasts.
Tracks delivery and logistics for raw materials and works with suppliers to meet the deadlines.
Works with suppliers and logistic team to ensure that the shipping meet our client’s Quality requirements.
Resolve purchasing problems with vendors, suppliers, and programs, including defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel.
Work cross-functional with other department to meet with all the deadlines.

Qualifications:

Degree qualified in any related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a purchasing role from the food industry.
Ability to successfully interface with other departments and suppliers. Strong communications and negotiation skills are needed.
Good verbal and written communications skills in both Thai and English.
Able to work in Nakorn Ratchasima.
