The R&D Manager will report to the Managing Director with responsibility of leading an R&D team of three subordinates, focusing on the product development of a range of bakery products including; butters, margarines, spreads, shortenings and toppings.
Responsibilities:
Perform functions to facilitate the development of new products and formulas as requested by corporate sales, customers, and Marketing teams.
Creates and edits formulas, processing procedures, finished product specifications, and customer specifications.
Researches and incorporates new flavors, ingredients and processes into new product ideas.
Manage and control the product development process to comply with customer quality policy and relevant countries legislation, the samples are prepared in time flame and under food safety for dispatch.
Collaborates with operations to optimize processes and production for existing items within the limits of product specifications.
Ensure the products and processes to meet Food Safety Standard, Thai FDA, GMP, HACCP, HALAL or related regulation.
Act as technical/commercialization expert and coach for shared developers
Responsible for commercialization of new and reformulated products and successful transition from development to operations.
Actively participate in food safety programs that ensure the safety of ingredients and finished products.
Mentoring of junior R&D staff.
Qualification:
Degree qualified in a Food Science related field.
Experience in food product development, ideally in oils, fats or bakery products.
Technical understanding of butter, spreads, margarines is essential.
Flexible to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
What Our Client Offers:
Basic Salary: THB 70,000 – 90,000 / Monthly
