Our client is looking for an experienced senior leader to oversee their sales and manufacturing operations in China and provide strategic leadership for the operating business units within region. The focus will be on working with the current management team to drive all sales and operational activities of the business, ultimately leading its transformation into a leading supplier of value-added food ingredients and finished products for the wider-Asia region. The Regional Director's responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic plans and company policies, maintaining an open dialogue with stakeholders, and driving organizational success throughout the business.
The Regional Director is expected to be the strategist and a leader of change and innovation, who can steer our clients’ overall business in China to towards their most profitable outcome, and is adept at crisis management, whilst also implementing its vision, mission and long-term goals. The key deliverables will include driving sales via food service, distributors, retailers, QSR’s and B2C channels whilst implementing a larger sales and manufacturing capability throughout the wider Asia region.
Qualifications:
Degree qualified with significant general management/ Managing Director (High level) experience within food & beverage industry in China.
Prior experience managing businesses and people, in both operations and sales, is required.
Bi-lingual in both Mandarin and English, with a cross cultural understanding of different business practices.
Prior sales experience and contacts at senior level to Retailers, QSR’s and Food Service Providers would be advantageous.
The successful candidate should be balanced, resilient, curios, proactive and visionary with the ability to step back and manage day to day operations when needed.
Financially adept, with the understanding of difficult financial concepts and ability to manage a complex P&L.
Ability to manage multinational customers on a regional level.
Understanding of food manufacturing operations is required.
Experience in developing and implementing strategic and business plans.
Able to excel in high-pressure situations with excellent organizational skills.
What Our Client Offers:
Salary: CNY 1,000,000 – 2,000,000 / Year (Negotiable depending on experience/current package)
Annual Bonuses: 25% - 50% (depending on performance)
