This newly created role will lead and support our clients’ nutrition product / ingredient focus for the South East Asia region; developing guidelines related to nutrition for the regional R&D teams on product development initiatives and opportunities to promote optimal, credible and appropriate nutritional attributes to customer products.
Responsibilities:
Actively participate in the Global Nutrition Team and serve on relevant Global Working Groups, representing South East Asia working on the corporate nutrition strategy to ensure consistent delivery of nutrition communications, programs and actions.
Provide direct guidance to Region R&D teams on product development initiatives and opportunities.
Lead the development and execution of the regional nutrition strategy, including implementation of regional nutrition profiling initiatives.
Stay informed about relevant nutrition science, consumer and marketplace trends.
Support commercial teams by developing, delivering and/or reviewing customer-focused communications regarding nutrition topics and product solutions.
Support regional achievement of Health and Nutrition goals through internal education, project recommendations, monitoring and regular communications.
Identify key regional external nutrition partnerships for ongoing engagement.
Follow, evaluate, and apply existing and emerging research in protein or micronutrient nutrition science for product development, customer communications, and internal education.
Responsible for maintaining and enhancing the security of all information regarding product formulas, processing and related company intellectual property.
Qualifications:
Degree qualified in Nutrition Science. Registered Dietitian or equivalent preferred.
Strong experience working with nutritional analysis of recipes and formulations, ideally from the food industry.
Knowledge of local and regional food systems and health foods equity, global experience is a plus.
Good command of English and computer literate.
