Our client is a global food ingredients manufacturer, supplying to both food processors and the food service channel.
This newly created role will provide strategic direction and leadership to our clients’ APAC Food Safety and Quality Systems function across all Asia sites, and businesses, including various contract manufacturer locations, and warehouses. The focus will be to create alignment with our clients’ global quality initiatives, in the areas of quality, GPE and manufacturing; ultimately delivering improved quality and food safety performance, consistency and customer satisfaction across local Asia quality groups.
The role will initially be an independent contributor with indirect functional reports across Asia sites, and will report directly into the region and functionally into the global team. Our client is looking for an experienced FSGS professional with extensive food industry experience and who is able to lead from the front, and work in a global organization structure.
Leads and develops plans to standardize quality systems and food safety personnel and programs across all manufacturing facilities within APAC.
Represents the APAC business as a member of the Global Food Safety Council and key integration contact.
Assures all manufacturing sites within APAC are compliance with related regulations and food safety and quality frameworks.
Acts as the technical lead person for Food Safety and Quality Systems department within the region.
Provides Quality Systems updates to operations management, APAC Leadership, and all other support departments on FSQS key initiatives, challenges, failures, and improvements.
Promotes continuous improvement of FSQS processes to achieve stronger linkages between departments and the company’s overall process.
Provide leadership to the internal teams for audit suppliers and co-manufacturers on food safety and quality systems compliance.
Lead role for customer communication at times of food safety crisis and is the technical resource for suppliers and for customers for projects and requirement negotiations.
Leads the development of training materials used for food safety and Quality System standards.
Degree qualified in a Food Technology, Food Science related field.
Minimum of 10 years related experience within the food safety and quality functions from the food industry, with managerial experience.
Knowledge of food and quality systems including; ISO 9000, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, third party audits and GFSI, amongst others.
An effective communicator, able to travel regionally.

What Our Client Offers:
Basic Salary: USD 80,000 – 110,000/Annual
