Our client is a leading global food producer with operations spanning multiple regions.
This newly created health & safety role focuses on standardizing health & safety procedures, risk assessment, data analysis, and continuous improvement—initially across multiple Europe food processing operations, with long-term expansion across global sites.
The Health & Safety Coordinator will shape a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and regulatory excellence across global operations amongst the following:
Develop, implement, and monitor H&S management systems.
Establish international safety standards and ensure policy alignment
Ensure compliance with global regulations and industry certifications
Oversee incident reporting, corrective actions, and risk mitigation.
Lead safety audits, training initiatives, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Details:
Hybrid role (3-4 days per week at HQ close to Rotterdam).
Frequent travel (monthly visits to national, regional, and global sites).
Collaborates with plant managers, local H&S teams, external authorities, and auditors.
Strategic & hands-on approach required to drive H&S initiatives.
Full-time (Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week) with strong benefits and growth.
Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills (English and Dutch languages essential)
3-5 years Health and Safety experiencewithin a manufacturing environment
Excellent stakeholder management experience at all levels.
Qualified to higher education level in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent is essential.
Able to travel.
