Peak Recruitment are partnering with a leading food ingredients producer who are looking to hire a HSE Manager to manage and improve all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) related practices throughout their Europe and Asia manufacturing sites. The primary focus will be on their High Wycombe site, but with the additional responsibility of driving best practice as the main point of contactforallHSErelatedissues, improvementactionsandtasksacrossall sites.
Within their environmentally sensitive production facilities, our client requires a meticulous and highly observant HSE Manager who will take an active leadership role to promote and drive the HSE performance and governance throughout the sites, their personnel, subcontractors and stakeholders, covering the following key responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong SOP management to ensure compliance to strict group HSE policies, lSO 14001, COSHH regulations and legislative requirements.
Main point of contact for all HSE related issues, improvement actions and tasks across the site.
Drive cultural change in the organisation by proactively improving good HSE practices, through training and investment in people.
Attend training, perform research, and gather HSE knowledge.
Support and lead the creation and development of HSE process documentation.
Organise, manage, and lead internal risk assessment and HSE audits.
Manage and maintain an effective COSSH system.
Manage the provision of first aid skills, occupational health screening, risk assessments and control of PPE.
Manage the 'Accident and near-miss reporting process: RIDDOR reporting; accident investigations and corrective actions.
Organise, chair, minute Quarterly HSE meetings, reporting on the performance of the business and departments within the business.
Qualifications:
10+ years’ experience in a HSE management ole from within a food, chemical or pharmaceutical related manufacturing organization.
Ideally NEBOSH diploma qualified, or at least General Certificate as a minimum.
Strong up to date knowledge of HSE legislation in the UK.
Good working knowledge of COSSH and ATEX.
Experience of lean and problem-solving tools.
Knowledge/ Qualifications in Transporting Hazardous goods.
The role will suit an experienced HSE professional with experience in a hazardous goods related manufacturing environment, ideally be NEBOSH qualified with a keen interest in HSE laws and regulations and a high level of accountability.
