A newly created role, the QA Director will be based out of Vietnam and will lead the implementation and management of quality and food safety systems for our clients’ food processing operations throughout South East Asia. Initially tasked with taking a hands-on role in training local capabilities throughout the existing facilities Vietnam, further growth will be to implement and manage QA and Food Safety systems in facilities throughout the region.
Responsibilities:
Involved in new factory line design to ensure food safety and compliance with local/international regulations.
Provide general Quality, Production, R&D and Operations support to drive local capabilities.
Implement and lead Quality Systems and Food Safety Systems to meet regulatory, company and customer requirements.
Leads the implementation and maintain of a Quality Management System.
Manages the internal auditing system and verification/ validation activities.
Initiate processes to gain certification and ensure future compliance with the requirements of third-party certifying bodies’ audits (BRC. GMP, HACCP, Kosher, Halal, etc.) are passed with no major non-conformities.
Manage and ensure the compliance in all external audits, concerning product’s quality and food safety and ensure corrective actions are closed up.
Ensures the Quality team have the resources required to support the business.
Be the point of contact for customer audits and arrange response to any non-conformances.
Supports and participates Continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Extensive QA Management experience working within food production, ideally with experience in R&D and Production.
Highly experienced in QA and Food Safety Systems, with internal exposure to systems including; BRC, SQMS, GMP, HACCP, FSSC22000, ISO 22000, GFSI, ISO9000, TQM.
Hands-on, flexible, mature, adaptable with an international mindset.
Fluent English language and experience work with Asian production.
Open to all nationalities, able to based in Vietnam.
Production/R&D experience is also preferable.
Independent starter with a humble and positive attitude.
What Our Client Offers:
Base salary: Depending on experience – up to 7,000 USD / Month
Performance Bonus: maximum equivalent to 5 months salary
